Cows Lying Down are a band from Newcastle upon Tyne, playing original songs which have a pop-rocky-folky flavour about them. It is clear that words and tunes are in the fabric of this band.

Themes in the music explore the life stories and situations of human strength and frailty, both of which are qualities which have come through strongly in live performances this year. These have included Riverside, Newcastle and Tynedale Beer Festival.

Recent reviews in Crack Magazine have been positive of the first and second albums, with the two single releases Kites and Spacemen and Magic Shoes being described as ‘superb’ and ‘exuding real goodness'.

Cows Lying Down are available to perform
at festivals or in more intimate venues.
